Little Girls Dresses for a Tea Party

A tea party allows a little girl to practice her etiquette and to wear a fancy dress. Most tea parties have about six guests and are for little girls who are between the ages of six and eight. A tea party requires some intervention and supervision by adults. Here is how to find little girls’ dresses for a tea party.

There are two different parts to a tea party, the actual party and the dress up part. Your little girls’ dress should make up a considerable part of the entertainment and might take up much of your time. But it is important to remember that it is all in good fun.

You should use a room such as a bedroom and give it the feel of a dressing boudoir/room that is old fashioned. You can add some glamour and privacy with some decorative screens or curtains. You should use a real vanity that is filled with hand mirrors, brushes, combs, atomizers, scented colognes, real powder puffs, clear or pale nail polish and soft lip gloss.

You should have many different fancy dresses and gowns available that are made from some fabrics that are fabulous. Little girls dream about ribbons, flowers, sequins, beads, shininess, sheer stuff, velvet, and silk. You can accessorize your little girls’ dresses with feathers, large flowers, and all kinds of hats. Some amazing handbags, a stole, a feather boa, and some costume jewelry will add the finishing touches.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money dressing up your little girl for a tea party. You should ask for help from everybody that you know. You should check out the Goodwill stores, the Salvation Army, and flea markets. In addition you might be able to borrow a little girls’ dress from a friend.

You can also ask the mothers of the guests. Because they will miss some of the fun, don’t allow the little girl guests to arrive already dressed. 

You can hold the tea party inside the house or outside in a garden. You should have little hand mirrors that are made from cardboard and use silver foil for the mirror, and place the name of each little girl on the part that isn’t mirrored. To make them prettier you can add some little craft flowers or short streamers of pastel ribbons that are narrow. These can be used as a favor to take home and as a nametag.
